There are so many things happening in October! Awareness topics include National Bully Prevention Month, Mental Health, Arthritis, and so on. The awareness I want to bring attention to is breast cancer.

Even though the odds may be against us, it doesn't mean we have to experience defeat! Dr. Betty Price did just that. This minister, author, and mother has overcome many barriers including cancer. In her book, Through the Fire & Through the Water, Dr. Price gives her testimony of how she used her faith in God and the support of her family to triumph over cancer.

Sis, the month of October is almost over. The responsibility of our health belongs to us. Have you done your breast exam? No? Well, it's time to start checking for you!
